  • The people of Kavaje, Albania are very poor. They are considered gypsies, and therefore are outcasts. They have difficulty finding work, so they collect trash to sell. Their homes have little to no electricity, no running water and very few furnishings. The mothers there have a hard time caring for their babies because they are not taught about breastfeeding and hygiene. Stefanie Kosta is a missionary in Kavaje and has started a program for women that will teach them these basic skills while also sharing with them about Jesus and his love for them and their children. Find out more on their Facebook page at Kisha Kristiane Albania and on their blog at

  • The Next Door Purpose: The Next Door will equip women in crisis to develop lives of wholeness and hope. The Next Door is a non-profit organization based in Tennessee that provides residential transition programs to address the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of women preparing to return to their communities after being in prison. The local chapter of The Next Door is located near Moccasin Bend, and the ladies of HVCC are involved in serving these women in several ways, including providing meals, teaching crafts, and collecting special items such as sweets and stationary materials.

  • Shoes for Orphan Souls Purpose: Provides new shoes and socks to orphans and vulnerable children everywhere. Shoes for Orphan Souls®, the largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, provides new shoes and socks to orphans and vulnerable children in the United States and throughout the world. From conducting shoe drives to humanitarian aid trips, Shoes for Orphan Souls offers hands-on opportunities to individuals, groups and organizations wanting to transform lives. Since 1999, more than 2.3 million pairs of new shoes and socks have been distributed to children in 74 countries.

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chattanooga provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill and injured children receiving care at nearby Chattanooga hospitals and support programs that improve the health, education and well-being of children. For over twenty years we have served a delicious dinner on the first Monday of each month for the families who have children across the street at Erlanger Hospital.

We would like to find four or five more who would join us............those of us who have done this for years would gladly add you to our teams! It is always a blessing to go and serve dinner to these young families! If you would like to join in a rotation, please let Judy Hays know asap!

  • Children's Nutrition Program of Haiti Purpose: To improve the health and development of Haitian children Our mission is to improve the health and development of Haitian children, particularly those suffering from malnutrition, who can in turn raise Haiti from poverty. CNP works to achieve our mission, in partnership with our Haitian sisters and brothers, by focusing on the person in the family who will have the biggest impact on the health and future of the child-the mother. Healthy mothers will be able to raise healthy children. CNP is a non-denominational, faith-based organization.
