Welcome to the City!

We are so glad you are interested in children and families.  We seek to create a safe, fun environment for children so that they can learn and grow in Jesus and so that parents and guardians can have peace of mind while they learn and grow themselves, Scroll down to check out everything we have to offer children and families!

When you arrive at our building, whether on Sunday or Wednesday, you'll most likely enter the doorway underneath the green canopy. To find our children's check-in desk, please turn left and proceed into the large white room. You'll see a sign for "The City" children's ministry and a desk with computers on it. One of our trained check-in representatives will greet you and walk you through the process and explain where your child will be and how to retrieve your child at the end of service. Our teachers and leaders would love to meet you, so please feel welcome to walk with your child to their area.

Uptown, our nursery and preschool areas, are on the upper level of the children's area. Elementary ages will head Downtown, down the stairs, just past the check-in desk to their large group area. We want you to have peace of mind while you worship, so rest assured that our volunteers are trained to give your child a safe, fun experience while learning about Jesus' amazing love.

Our nursery is staffed by trained, loving, caring individuals who volunteer to spend time with your precious ones. Our facilities are inviting, secure and clean - with a vigilant eye for further improvement.

Our goal is for your infant or toddler to be safe, loved, and shown Jesus' love through stories, play and songs. We want to partner with you to create a safe environment that allows for your child to experience Jesus' love from the moment they enter the Nursery to the time you come to take them home.

We provide nursery care for your infants from 9-11AM on Sunday mornings and 6:30-7:30 on Wednesday Nights during the school year. Special events vary by need, please contact the children's minister if you need childcare provided during a special event! alex.henderson@hvcconline.com

We love preschoolers so much! We want them to have a safe place to feel Jesus' love and begin to see how to love others as well. Our volunteers are excited to see your little ones and look forward to showering them with Jesus' love.

Through song, play, and stories, Preschoolers will learn that God loves them and that Jesus wants them to love others. Each morning is put together with care so that each child comes away loved and closer to Jesus.

Our preschoolers meet upstairs in the Oasis (our kids' area) for Sunday School at 9:00am and Worship at 10:15am, and at 6:30 on Wednesday Nights during the school year.

Hickory Valley Christian Church has established a vibrant children’s ministry that seeks to impact children, giving them the encouragement and direction to grow and live their faith. We have an area, complete with stage and small group rooms called the Oasis just for kids!

Through worship, instruction, and fellowship, our dedicated volunteers show your children that God loves them and wants them to be His friends. These volunteers also teach them what this relationship means and how they can share that relationship with other children.

We seek to create a safe environment where children can experience Jesus' love through the Bible, singing, volunteers, and the lessons each Sunday. Be sure to stop by our check-in station in the Fellowship Hall if you have any questions!

Come and join the adventure each Sunday morning from 9:15-11:15AM and one Wednesday Nights during the school year from 6:30-7:30pm!

Rush 56 (Preteens)

5th and 6th grades are important periods in the development of a student, especially in the realm of faith. Our most recent addition to our programs, our preteen ministry, combines trained, caring volunteers with specifically designed lessons and activities to engage preteens.

This group meets on Sunday Mornings at 9am and Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm. We also take some exciting trips in the spring and Fall, along with great summer activities, including a mission trip!

Parent Resources

This is a page dedicated to giving parents resources that can help them in their daily lives. I have heard that being a parent just "comes to you" when a child is born, and yet so many parents still have questions after years of experience. We see in the Bible that seeking wisdom from others not only benefits ourselves, but also our children. We hope that these resources will help to continually focus and inspire your parenting.
