HVCC observes Communion or the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week (Sunday). Why? Because Christ, on the night before His death, said, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” The example was further set by the apostles who “upon the first day of the week, came together to break bread.”
We welcome any baptized follower of Jesus to partake in Communion. If you are not a baptized believer, we invite you to watch and observe as Christians partake of the elements.

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including preborn babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
